Home builders do not use the standard TREC contract forms that are used when purchasing an established home. They have their own contracts that are created by each particular builder, and with the builder's best interests at heart.

 

When you have a realtor representing you:

• It is at no cost to you. Realtor's are paid through the builder's marketing fund. You are basically getting representation for free.

• They have a good understanding of how to interpret the contracts.

• They have experience negotiating terms, price, upgrades, lots, etc.

• They know what to look for during walk-throughs to make sure your home is being built with the best quality.
